Journalism Co-Managing Editor
Hello! I’m super excited to be Co-Managing Editor this year of the Abstract! Some of my research interests include epigenetics in early human embryonic development and genetic engineering. On a lighter note, I love music history, Tarantino movies, and exploring Montreal. And of course, reading my Nature Briefings emails :).
Journalism Co-Managing Editor
Hello! I’m a U2 Neuroscience student doing a minor in math. I am co-managing the journalism portfolio in MSURJ with Sofia. When I am free, I would spend time on piano and scientifically improving my memory (in other word, sleep). My current research interest is neurodegeneration, but I enjoy exploring everything about the brain!
U2 Biology and Mathematics
Hello! I’m delighted to be an editor for the Abstract this year. My research interests are centred around evolutionary ecology, but I enjoy reading and working on anything that will help us better understand how climate change is affecting the species around us, and what we can do to help. When I’m not studying, I love spending time in the outdoors, or baking a copious amount of sweets.
I’m a U0 physics student but thinking of switching to planetary sciences! As one can guess from that, I am fascinated by space and astronomy. I also love editing, which is why I’m very excited to be a junior editor for the Abstract this year.
Hi! I am thrilled to be a part of the first cohort of contributing writers for the Abstract. I focus my studies on ecology and conservation, helping with research in the Green lab. In my free time, I play sports through McGill’s intramural program and spend time with friends.
U2 Honours Physiology
I’m looking forward to contributing to the Abstract this year and learning from my fellow writers. My research interests center around cell and molecular physiology; other interests include playing and teaching guitar, cooking, rock climbing, and petting dogs.
Hi there! I’m really excited to be a contributing writer this year for the Abstract, and to finally do some scientific writing that isn’t an organic chem lab report. 🙂 In my spare time, I love to read, play piano, and explore new coffee shops around Montreal.
Hello! I am very excited to write about science for the Abstract. I love learning about the nervous system, the etymology of words and how research can be applied in practical ways. If you know any nice running, ice skating or coffee spots (or want to talk about science), feel free to reach out!
Hi! I’m curious and love to learn about science so I’m really looking to writing for The Abstract:) I study biology and while I haven’t quite found my niche, I’m currently interested in health sciences, sustainability, and environment. In my spare time, I love to draw, paint, and listen to podcasts.
Hi! I’m a U2 majoring in biology. I love writing and talking about science, especially genetics and evolution, so I’m looking forward to making articles for The Abstract. I have many creative hobbies, such as sewing and painting, but I also like playing sports with friends.
